Since We’re on the Topic of TV Shows…

What shows does everybody watch currently? Maybe one of these days, after I do some research, or see which are most “popular” with readers, we’ll have a discussion, and I’ll probably share some commentary of my own if I’m familiar with the material as well.

So again, what’s your show(s) of choice?

Doctor Who, Avatar: Legend of Korra, EUReKA, M*A*S*H, Mythbusters

  3. woodlandrabbit said: This is a great idea! I’m currently watching Once Upon A Time.
  4. royxrizafan said: Once Upon a Time! I think you’d like it; the female characters are very strong, independent, and inspiring. Their strength and determination all comes naturally, too. No one points it out, it isn’t considered revolutionary. It’s how it should be.
  5. nubyfayle said: parks and rec is the best thing on tv now, imho :) that and community. both very very gender-aware (probably could have chosen a better word there…)
  6. strawbearyy said: Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teen Titans, Criminal Minds, The Walking Dead, Firefly, House, The Mighty Boosh :) I think Avatar: The Last Airbender would be a good one to look at for feminism :)
  7. paintandmakeup said: Scandal, Revenge, Grey’s Anatomy, Being Human, Doctor Who and The Vampire Diaries.
  8. jenntendo64 said: Once Upon a Time, Parenthood, Merlin, New Girl, The Mindy Project, Game of Thrones, Mad Men.
  9. illonink said: For women characters, Fringe and The Good Wife. I also watch Elementary and Young Justice and (sometimes) Once Upon a Time. New Girl’s been ticking me off lately.
  10. robo-thong said: I’m a little embarrassed to say it, but I’ve been watching Teen Wolf. The two female characters smart and deadly!
  11. womxxn said: Community, Pushing Daisies, Criminal Minds (despite the horrible woman murdered as the center of practically every case), New Girl, and Game of Thrones.
  12. merkin-rhubarb said: Parks and recreation is a big favorite, for many reasons. While it still falls victim to some of the general problems in sitcoms, it has a lot of strengths. Strong female lead, diverse cast, strong character development.
  13. chlorinesea said: I only watch the daily show and apparently also once upon a time??? I analyze the latter a lot and it’s not great. :/
